Description: For this activity we traced our footprint and placed symbols on the footprint that describe ourselves. We could use any supplies we wanted to use, but were asked to use at least three different medias. Some of the medias I used in my project were crayons, markers, and googly eyes. Some of the symbols I used for my footprint include:
- W for the Watertown Arrows: I went to Watertown High School.
- Rosary and Church: My Catholic faith is super important to me.
- Sloth: Sloths are my favorite animal.
- Sun, Waves, and Flowers: I love summertime and the outdoors.
- Christmas tree and snowflakes: Christmas is my favorite holiday.
- Ice cream: I love getting ice cream in the summertime.
- Strawberry: Strawberries are my favorite fruit.
- Friends: I love to hangout with my friends in my free time.
- Airplane: I drew an airplane and put a red line through it to show that it is my biggest fear.
- Book: I love to read fiction books.
Extension Activity: An extension activity that I could use from this project would be to randomly hand out the footprints so each student receives someone else's. From that point, they could write a short paragraph about the other students footprint and what they think each symbol is representing. At the end they will give their paragraph to the owner of the footprint and the owner will tell them if what they wrote was correct.
